I found a thing about "Harry Potter and me" (I love this interview)

I found this curious thing: the box where Rowling has her papers, draws, etc, is identificated with this papel, in wich is written: PARSELFORCE.

Do you think it can be some kind of Order of Phoenix but with death eaters?

I think It can be some part of the two new books.

For this thread to survive, Zirtaheb needs to provide some additional information.

I searched our collection of interviews and based on the title you provided, I could find the following BBC interview: Harry and Me. Is this the one you refer? If so, I could not find anywhere in the transcript the word "Parsel". I did read the entire interview again and I could see no place where this word or the cover was presented.

In the interview , the following was a part of that transcript:
Stephen Fry: Is a Parselmouth a real thing or did you make that up?

JK Rowling: Parselmouth is an old word for someone who has a problem with their mouth like a hair lip

There was no mention of the bookcover.

For this thread to continue, a specific date of the interview or who is the narrartor. You mentioned the BBC and I have checked the interview that we have available of BBC interviews and I could not find this "Parsel" picture mentioned. The bottom line is for this thread to continue, we all have to have access to the same material. I hope that you understand. If this program waws strictly Spanish, are there transcripts available with English translations?

I think I can clear up this little mystery for you.

In the UK, Parcelforce is a branch of the Mail Service (Royal Mail) that deals with delivering packages (a bit like UPS in the States). Many packages that get delivered may come in a box with Parcel Force printed on the side, or with a Parcelforce label or sticker attached.

It may be that Jo is just being environmentally friendly by recycling the box for storage. That or else she is trying to make a pun on the name.

Coincidently (uninteresting fact alert), the nice people at Amazon sent me my copy of OotP via Parcelforce

Yes indeed, I can now safely say that this is just another fine example of Jo's sense of humour. I noted that in the picture on the link... she has highlighed the Parsel Force, so it is indeed a pun on the Mail Sevice Parcel Force. She even follows it with 'Rattling Good Service'

I feel that this explains the "mystery" and I will close this thread out within the next 48 hours. If anyone wishes to add any additional information, you are more than welcome; however this post will be deleted.

Zirtaheb, I have thought about your question and I do not see a thread that your "mystery" will fit. It is not about any of the books. It is your view of an interview of which I can find no record. Without some basis for providing credit of JKR's actual use of the picture in question, it is strictly a rumor concerning a possible interview of JKR. I realize that you have copyrighted the picture that you have included and I do not feel comfortable about publishing some on this Forum that is copyrighted, especially without some clear, English-translated transcript.

If you are able to find an English-translation of the program, then the picture could possibly be a part of one of the JKR threads. That's the best I can see right now with the lack of evidence available.

Where in the interview does the picture you have appear? Maybe I missed the location when I scan-read the interview. I have read that interview many, many times and I was very familiar with the text and most of the aditions or deletions.

I am extending the time remaining on this thread for at three days to allow everyone involved to try to get the facts together. I wish I had more time right now to be involved; however I have other duties.

I apologize in advance, but I've read all 10 posts to this thread and I'm unclear of what (if any) would be there for us to discuss? Maybe my brain is too tired tonight to really catch the drift of exactly what it is really about. But to me it sounds like Fawkes Forever answered Zirtaheb's original post, Maybe if Zirtaheb could give us more information on what is really in question here? If it is just wondering if the box shown is a "hint" to one of the two last books, well is there really enough to have a thread on? I could see where maybe "Not Mentioned In Other Threads", as Classicsquid mentioned, would be the place for it?

Like I said I apologize if I'm missing the point here. If I am then maybe someone could explain it to me? Thanks!!!

Yes, Fawkes Forever resolve it, but Kip Carter said that I can put the mistery and the solution in another topic (wich was open), and I only want to know in what topic can I put it. If anyone is interested, here is a rough translation of the link. While I don't think there will be such an organization in upcoming episodes of the HP saga, it is an amusing image and play on words.

Pársel force (Parsel Force)
In the television interview "J.K. Rowling: Harry Potter and me", broadcast on the BBC, Rowling appeared showing rough drafts of books of Harry Potter. The boxes were labeled, and one of them showed a yellow serpent with the inscription "Parsel Force" (Pársel Force) on it. It is possible, although only a hypothesis, that Pársel Force is a group that appears in next books.

The Parcel Force Joke was also featured one year on the UK's Comic Relief or Children in Need. I think Jennifer Saunders and Dawn French did the Hary Potter Sketch about the Weasley's Flying car. I seem to remember them saying something about Parcel Force then. I may be wrong. But Dawn French has just gone on to play the Fat Lady in the Griffindor Portraite.

So that's where the title came from. I was over on the vote thread a moment ago wondering about that title.

The comic Relief sketch was excellent, my children still do impressions of it now. Although my mind only remembers the car part.

I do not see any continuing life for this thread. The subject and question were very narrow and the question was quickly answered. I will be making this a very temporary archived thread in the hopes that our editors will determine if there is anything worth saving.
