As this issue of the Daily Prophet is from 2011, Fred won't be able to interview any prospective candidates. If this is the joke shop we're talking about.

I can't see George passing up the opportunity to make a joke of some kind.

PAH, in case you don't see the chat thread, happy belated birthday! (Sorry I missed it. )

I didn't really have anything specific in mind Mona. What you have works fine.

I wonder where Julia has got to these days. I haven't seen her posting anywhere for a while. And I was thinking about Dryleaves the other day too. I don't think she made it over to our new home.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, Verity and Mona!

Julia has been busy with family functions. She sent me a birthday email a couple of days ago. Dryleaves has posted here, in forumotion, in one or two of the Games threads. I remember seeing her cool avatar. Maybe her posts will turn up in the Search function.

Will work on an update soon. Want to post more ads in the Ravenclaw common room on Facebook that an Eagle started the night before Pottermore shut for a few days. Posted the first one, which folks liked, and they asked if more had been written. One of the younger Eagles, a high school senior, has started a thread for a three words story! And surprisingly, it's turning out okay, lol. I've only posted a couple of times, though. I won't have the kind of posting numbers there like I usually have here.

Ooh PAH ... I smell fresh blood - maybe you can persuade some Eagles to mosey on over here and join in!

It's good to know that Dryleaves made it over here, but I don't remember seeing her posts. Unfortunately, I haven't found the search function to be all that helpful - one of the reasons why your organisation of the archives is so invaluable.

the finest dragonhide. Scorched slightly

I did think of recommending this place, Verity, when someone asked for another HP site where we could meet up when Pottermore was down for a few days. But as it takes that long, or longer, lol, to get registered here, I didn't bother. Also, that Facebook Ravenclaw common room is quite vibrant and dynamic, which is a bit different to how things are here. And they have a habit of cheering for people, for all sorts of things, which might not go down well here, lol. So I don't know if they could be drawn away from that room to post here much.

I appreciate your appreciation of the Five Words, Archive. It's a project I'm glad I took on. It's too bad that they can only be viewed as a registered member, though, as the Games section is not accessible when viewing this site as a Guest. I'll think on it and perhaps ask Denise to move it. That way, I could post a link over on Facebook.

Verity, Dryleaves has a pattern of posting only occasionally. Here is a link to one of her riddles on this forum, which I found easily thanks to PAH's excellent archives. Smile

Glad to hear Julia's OK.

PAH, I agree with you that it'll be good if the games threads could be viewed by all visitors. I feel that the Current Discussions Between Members threads are the only ones that need to be kept private.

My hotel doesn't have free wifi in the rooms, only in the lobby, so I can't be online so much at the moment. When I book hotels for myself I refuse to stay in ones that don't include free internet. I just think it is a rip-off to be expected to pay on top of everything else. This is an expensive hotel, I think it's the least they could do. Oh well. I'll be home tomorrow night.

Edited to add: Hey, what does it take to get that fifth star around here? I just made my 1000th post. Surely that's enough?
