I'll join in the cleaning! Maybe we'll find relics of some fasinating story of residents past. Like this silver goblet here. Who could have drunk from this? For all we know someone could have been holding this very goblet when something interesting happened. I love this sort of stuff. If only these objects could talk.

Hey, maybe that's a new job for Gred and Forge, developing a spell or something that'll allow objects to tell their stories! Or better yet, allow rooms to tell their stories!

HOWEVER. They were doing it differently. They were...in partners, as I said, so all the moves were done while facing each other.

I did, of course, and when I watched it later on TV I even heard my scream when Whitaker knocked down that second rail.

And...the International started about 5 minutes ago. I wish I could be at Spruce Meadows RIGHT NOW, but inconveniently I have tickets to "Phantom of the Opera" for tonight. Gosh.

Equestrian rivals Quidditch, in my opinion. HEY. There should totally be like...equestrian/racing for winged horses. That would be shweet.

It's always warm enough to swim, Tazzy, the pool's self-heating. In fact, the air around the pool is self-heating, so you can lounge in the deck chairs and not get cold.

I heard the Healers talking and apparently the Ministry have decided that the hospital is too drab, and that that is likely to make us miserable rather than 'cure' us. So they've given us funds to completely re-decorate St Mungo's and make it more cheerful and comfortable, and they're going to allow us to decorate it ourselves, especially our own wards. They think this will help 'cure' us by distracting us from Harry Potter (personally I think it will have the opposite effect ).

Here are a bunch of plants to help decorate. Watch out for the love potions and mistletoe, bad combination.

I placed some presents for everyone in the corner, but be forewarned, there is a hex on them if you open them early. Your present will turn to itching powder from F & G shop, so you know that it’s not the only thing it does. The powder will only work on the opener of the present. And it is supposed to be impossible to open someone elses present. I think I have stuff labeled for everyone.

It can snow anytime we want here. Inside. Fred and George are now selling indoor, non-cold, non-meltable snow in a can.

I had nightmares last night about stuff happening in the books that I didn't want, mainly because I was re-reading HBP before I went to bed, found a worrying passage that I had forgotten about, and fell asleep thinking about it. And I have been impatient to get home all morning so I could post on the main forum about it.

I have a blowtorch! I was saving it to make giant sugar sculptures in the kitchen, but haven't had a chance yet. Maybe we could make statues out of the toffee as it melts?

Amazing.

In 2003, Caitlin McCoy posted the lyrics to a certain song that I searched for relentlessly because I liked the lyrics but could never find, for she never told us who sang it or what it was called.

Today, I was buying Tori Amos songs off iTunes. I purchased that very song, randomly, and I didn't notice until I listened to the lyrics and they sparked a memory of several *headdesks* as each search failed.

Sectusempra would be tempting but you might get thrown in Azkaban for it (laws are laws) so better go with bat-bogie. Besides, the latter in public affords a certain amount of entertainment for the crowd and a decent amount of humiliation for the person who spoiled.

Actually (as a qualified therapist) denial is the first step of bereavement. Then anger so I have brought along a large number of inflatable toys in the shape of death eaters and some large cushions for people to take their anger our on. If you use a spell that makes them blow up then they are enchanted to come back together.

Don't worry Good Evans, bereavement is a process of two steps forward - one step back. The inflatable death eaters will remain as long as people need them. I also have also arranged for a daily shipment of Honeydukes chocolate, cauldron cakes, pumpkin pasties, ice cream, chocolate frogs and other comfort food and drinks to be delivered. All have a special "no calorie" charm on them so you can eat and drink as much as you like without putting on weight.

Pyro - don't worry about Lucius and Draco, they are quite safe after their turnaround in Book 7 where family was more important than Voldemort.

Azi - the interior on the films is King's Cross but the exterior is that of St Pancras (look at the wonderful red bricks on the front wall to see why). The bridge that Hagrid and Harry are on in Philosophers Stone is actually York station. But in the books JKR made a mistake, she was imagining Euston Station but wrote Kings Cross. (Yes I'm a geek so who cares - that's one of the reasons I'm in St Mungos.)

I thought that Euston was used for the indoor shooting for "kings cross" in movies as KX does not have the stone arches? And yes it was because JKR got her stations muddled (how geeky are we???). The outside of St Pancras is the station that you see in the chamber of secrets. red brick with the corner towers, KX is a real dissapointment in comparison next door!!!

Yes Azi there is a bridge in the first film. The scene where Hagrid gives Harry his ticket for the Hogwarts Express. Hogsmead station is of course (in the film) not in Scotland. It’s the one at the village used for Heartbeat.

Luckily, azi, the weather report says good weather right up until Friday, so presuming they are correct (which is, of course, not guaranteed ) we should be set. Are we meeting at King's Cross? And if so where? It would be easiest to meet in the atrium by the arrivals board. It's the easiest part to get to when you get out of the underground because the door is right there. We should also all wear something visibly HP so that we can recognise each other.

Why go to the Healer's staffroom? There's a side room off the spa with a fireplace bigger than the healers', and with lots of squashy armchairs and a huge faux-sheepskin rug in front of the fire. And a hot chocolate maker machine. And biscuits (cookies to the Americans). And a shelf full of books.

(I'm actually shivering as I write this and wishing I had such a room.)

(I actually have the trivia game and have set up the board but have lost the instructions so I've turned it into a very basic game.)

Right, first of all everyone has to pick which colour Sorting Hat they want to use as their counter - white, silver, black, gold, grey or bronze. Please remember your colour and post it with each move or answer. You have to correctly answer questions in order to move around the board. When you answer a question (and don't cheat!) I'll roll the dice and move you that many spaces around the board. First person to get back to the beginning wins.

Okay, so all players pick their Sorting Hat counter. Instead of playing myself, I'll be the person who moves the counters, rolls the dice and asks the questions.

I think broomstick is right, azi. I just finished re-reading PS and Harry had to hide his broomstick from the other first years because they weren't supposed to have one. He was given special permission. I've known the last two questions and now I'm sure mine will be one I don't know!

Oh, that's a tough one, PAH.

PAH, I played a few rounds of Trivia on the other forum, and failed quite miserably. I felt good if I managed to score a four or five.

Glad I changed my answer, I had typed DADA when something clicked in my memory, and I quickly deleted it before posting.

Liz, are these questions from an actual game, or are you making them up?

PAH here, and my piece is gold. Oh great! A question that I don't know the answer to. Well, I know part of it, so I might as well say what I know so that I don't look like a complete dunderhead! I think the longest match was 3 months long, but I have no idea who the teams who played in it were. Oh well!

I don't think we know. Quidditch Through The Ages says that the longest match was six months, not three (though the first book must have said three because the question card says that is the answer), and that it happened on Bodmin Moor in 1884. It doesn't say what teams it was though.

AARRGGHHH!! I knew it. I've known every answer and now this one I'm not sure of. I know he found it in an abandoned classroom, but the floor?? Who knows what floor anything is on in these books. They're always moving! I just read this book as I said and I remember something about it being near the library and Harry thought he was five floors above the kitchens. But does that mean fifth floor?? ***sigh*** I'll go with that.
