This thread is a continuation (if ever such a thing could be said!) for the St. Mungo's Roll Call! thread originally started by Caitlin McCoy.

Do you 'suffer' (and I use the term loosely) from the 'delusion' (if indeed it is...) that you are living in the world of Harry Potter? Do you long for a day when you can see magical creatures, eat giant calamari, play quidditch, practice charms and spells, take on an animagus, marry a member of the Hogwarts faculty?

If your answer is "but that's not crazy. That's just good sense..." then you belong here! Welcome!

Since I'm not completely familiar with St Mungo's, I'll need to know all the wards and everything so I can chose my room and all. Is the Quidditch game still on?

Since I didn't get one of those last mourning posts at the other St Mungo's, I'll do my speech here. We have gathered here today to say good bye to and old favorite place. St. Mungo's was a wacky, yet homey place everyone loved to be at, even me, although I was confused because a lot of it was new to me. As we all relocate to this new thread, I would like to say a few words before everyone starts fighting over rooms... Nitwit! Blubber! Oddment! Tweak!

By the way, my birthday was yesterday... I turned 11... and I GOT MY HOGWARTS LETTER!!!

A-hem, A-hem, I leave the Hospital for a trip to Majorca, and look what happens! I'll have you know that you'll never find the door to my room! It is unplottable and can only be opened by ME!

It has been decorated in Poppy Red of course. My bath tub would be the envy of any Hogwarts Prefect. I also have a natural spring waterfall that surpasses any Muggle shower. I have a real toilet, though there seems to be a slight problem with the plumbing.

The Empress-size canopy bed is draped in flowing gauze and ivy. I have special ordered my new curtains from Madam Malkins of Diagon Alley. (FYI: She is branching out into home decor) My carpets should be flying in any day now. A Mr. A. Weasley has them held up in customs.

Haven't moved from old St. Mungo's (only discovered it a couple days ago, and was overwhelmed on how many posts I would have to read, so I decided not to join then). But now, they're a new thread with only 14 posts to date, so my myopic eyes feel a lot better. Anyway, I belong in the 'parents don't understand obsession ward' and I could probably fit in 'rereads books way too often' ward, with Lindsay and Marie. I've always wanted a roommate or two or three...

Happy Birthday Hermy! Congrats on your letter and please tell us how Diagon Alley is. Before I turned 11, I'd always dream about getting my Hogwarts letter and showing it to my delighted parents and annoyed sister. This was pre-obsession by the way.

D'you know, that really cute Healer-in-training...I think his name is Robbie, I can't remember...anyway, he said I could have anything I wanted in my room^^. Whoot!

So, here it is:

Double bed with denim duvet, pink pillows, skirt, and sheets. Also, lots of fuzzy pink decorative pillows and a little fuzzy pink blanket on the end of the bed. And a little stuffed turtle (not pink!) sitting on my bed. Very cute. His name is Squirt and he is MINE! MINE MINE MINEY!!

BUBBLES suspended magically around my room. They NEVER pop!!

A huge, pink shoe-chair in the corner with pink leopard print on it to match the lamp beside my bed.

Magicified Muggles PLASMA TV across from my bed with a Magicified Muggle DVD player on top, connected to surround sound. . DVDs contain Chicago, Bruce Almight, a bunch of Adam Sandler and a bunch of Johnny Depp. Oh, and a few Drew Barrymore movies. Oh, and Charlie's Angels 2. OH! Can't forget Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. Beside the DVD stand is the bookcase, and I'm not even going into those.

Party in my room tonight!!!! Bring movies galore!! You'll find my room near the...erm...Pinkified Ward. You can't miss it!! It's very pink!

I actually almost shed a tear between Istari's and Gina's last posts. *sigh* But just think of all the adventures we'll have here! And Istari, deleted posts still count towards the 3,000 limit. Painting is good therapy. Here's a brush and paint. I'm sorry to say that I only have Strawberry Shortcake Red on hand. All my Barbie Pink was used by Pyro.

Whew. I think everyone in Hawaii made it back. I'm glad because they get first pick of rooms. Poppy, I'm so glad you are back I could use the help. Lovely tan. I was almost in tears with worry that we could not continue with the St. Mungos thread. Pyro, I thought the bubbles were poppable but a new one would form slightly after it was popped. Someone told me they were flavored. Either way I'm glad you like your new room. I hope everyone is satisfied, and if you need anything let me know. I can't guarantee certain things, but I can at least try. The match with Hawaii had to be rescheduled, there were too many muggle news crews since the volcano erupted. (Did you see it on that muggle CNN?)

Thanks, Madam Poppy. But can I go to a store and get some new colors? I can't make a mural with only Strawberry Shortcake Red. If I did then it would turn out to be just a red wall.

I was hoping for some Formal Robes Black, Dowdy Tawny, Butterbeer Brown, and a set of Shooter's Flowers Magical Change Colors Paint. They come in sets of fifty industrial size tubes.

Does anyone want to paint the base coat with me?

Pinky, I would love to have you as my roommate! My room is decorated as Classroom 11 - woods, ferns, mossy ground, birds twittering in the trees. My bed has is a four poster, but the posts are of saplings with gauzy stuff and ivy like Madame Poppy's, but I have lilacs and wisteria draped along the canopy instead (Really, it looks like that in real life - it looks pretty cool). But you can decorate any way you would like! The refrigerator has two doors, so you can have half of it.

(Madame Poppy thinks she has the biggest bathtub, so I'm not saying anything different, Pinky. Ours is the Facility Olympic size swimming pool that I've magicked to allow only you and I into it. It's enough to make a dedicated Prefect sigh with envy!)

Gee, Madame Poppy, it's nice to hear you have a, what was the term? A "real working toilet" in your room? (*Snicker*) I guess that's better than a fake one!

I'll help you paint, Sabby. I like to do murals.

I have found the correct room for me. Using a simple enough spell, I have decorated accordingly, although I will probably change it up. For now it will be full of junk, but I'll just clean it up some other time. What? Oh fine. Scourgify! Ha ha, my room is the best.

It's not the luxurious type, but it is awesome. I have black and white checkered walls (like so, if it shows up). My bed floats and has a red cover, my carpet is Prefect Perfect White, my furniture is red with black handles. My bathroom has a giant sunken black swimming pool, I mean bathtub, and a completely mirrored wall. The sink is solid silver. My closet is a huge walk in wallpapered with photos of, guess who, Hermione. I also have a large bookcase including Hogwarts a History. Anyone is welcome to borrow any books. I have more than the Hogwarts library, or at least I probably would if I could count.

My turn to be creative about my two rooms. I got one in the “Re-reads Books Way Too Often Ward” and the other in the “Parents Don't Understand My Obsession Ward.” Lindsay, we can color coordinate. My section of the room will have blue walls, a bright pink polka-dot bedspread, and a very hip orange rug. I'll make our bathroom bright red everywhere with a HUGE shower/bath/swimming pool. Yay! In my other room, I shall put . . . *thinks* . . . a water bed, big magical TV, and bookshelf with all books known to wizard kind. I will also have an Invisibility Cloak and a Sneakoscope handy.

The Obsessive-Compulsive-Bed Pan Quidditch Disorder ward is up in one of the towers. I've got a huuuuuuuuge four poster water bed! I'm talking HUGE here! With red velvet hangings, six fluffy feather pillows and a red velvet duvet! I also have a coral dresser, ocean view (that is the tower is so high I can see the ocean from here!), a display shelf for my bed pan, a basketball net , sheepskin rug Sheep, mini bar Martini an en-suite bathroom complete with swimming pool and hot tub! And best of all, a fireman's pole from here down to reception! Woo hoo!

I'm busy customising it at the moment, putting up posters of the Maniacs, stickers of all the different model bed pans all over the wardrobe, bed posts and dresser, and I've let loose thirty Golden Snitches.

I didn't get a choice of room on my first arriving here. Some horrid staff member locked me away saying something about needing to be in a ward where I could work on my Obsessive Posting tendencies. After I made 90% of the posts a few days ago, they dragged me off to a temporary holding site and made me write lines with a pencil (without an eraser!). Then after I wrote all this clever stuff, they informed me that none of it would ever be read. ::Siiiiiighhhhh::

Well, well, I'm glad to see my patients are slipping back in one by one. Nice to know you all are here and ah, protected. I did find my room last night. I forgot that I had put an alarm on my doorknob. It glows a bright bluebell blue at exactly.....well never you mind...I'll keep that information to myself. *Sigh* Well, this looks nice enough. Now, what to do, what to do? Getting sleepy. Might just camp out right here and look for lodging tomorrow. Oh, for a room with a working toilet. Rumor has it that some guests do manage it.

*Rummages in large suitcase. Pulls out purple and green sleeping bag, four down pillows of varying density, PJs, toothbrush, face cream, robe, alarm clock, husband (oops, nope, forgot him this trip) and settles in for the night*

Oh, *pant, pant*, I just got here, *pant*, I was lost in the *pant* move. *cough*. I had to *pant* find my way here by *pant, cough* myself, and I was followed since I got *pant, pant* through the gate by a monkey that kept saying *hem, hem!* (just like Umbridge!Scared To Death 2), and I got *pant* scared Afraid, so I *pant* started running, and *pant* I just got here...*starts to cry weakly from exhaustion*

On the flip side, I get to decorate my own room! Too Happy! Hmm... I want a room on the tenth floor, overlooking the ocean, and I want it to have 4 rooms: bedroom, bathroom, personal library (with my own computer), and non-formal sitting room. It should all look like a huge forest... Ceiling that reflects the sky outside SunsetStargazing, scattered trees Tree 2 Tree 3, waterbed, bathtub is a lake Swimming, moss on ground, animals (only the good kind), I want it to have an enlarging charm, so that it is bigger than it look from the outside.

Can't wait to restart Quidditch -- GO MANIACS!

BTW - What happened to our 3-hour tour?

Popp-eeeee! I love the word "lurk!" I try to use it every day. In fact, I think I must be in the Lurkers' Lounge or is that a special ward?

Hey, got my room decorated. It was super easy. I just flung that purple and green sleeping bag artistically onto the floor, arranged my four down pillows of varying density around the four walls of the room, tossed everything else into the spacious closet (such an important asset). That odd tasting toothpaste (chirp!) looks just right in the loo. That's it, I'm done! It's called the minimalist look. You're all invited to visit any time. Room no. 12 12 12 13 (or is that my fellytone number?).

When's dinner?

Um...where's dinner? *whispers so as not to seem rude* We do get fed, don't we?

Look, Barb...we need to talk. *Clears throat and takes a sip of warm Orange and Spice tea.*

The bottom line is this: Don't eat the Calamari. Many of us here are convinced (although I'm not totally 100% convinced myself) that Albus Dumbledore becomes the Giant Squid as his Animagus form. (For more information, see the "Friend of Squid Buttons" thread here on the FFF.)

As a result, many of us refuse to eat the calamari, despite the faculty's statements that "it's OK." We've had plenty of propaganda about their lime Jello, believe-you-me! Although I am still a dedicated omnivore, I just can't bear the thought that we're having Dumbledore over for supper...literally. *Drains the last dregs for her teacup*

So if you want to have the calamari, well-l-l, don't be surprised if there is a moment of silence as you finish your meal. Anyway, the last thread had quite an episode about the Giant Squid being loose in St. Mungo's, but I don't remember where, off-hand. Speaking of which, do we still have access to the lake the Giant Squid inhabited?

Gee, Pinky, do you think the evil Ted E. Bears are like a form of boggart? If so, maybe we can banish them...I sure wish I had my wand back I'd give those bears what-for! The handle I copped off the toilet plunger just doesn't work right...

Oh, I remember what I meant to say in my last post... Quidditch starts again when we've all settled in and got our rooms sorted out. Our Hawaiian opposition has agreed to come here instead of us going there (no real point leaving when we've only just arrived - at least we got in some hula dancing and stuff while we were there) so we're building a very realistic volcano on the Quidditch pitch and we're going to play over that. Volcano

I've had tripe in soup, thought it was some kind of very thin (I mean, very thin) noodle or a weird, squiggly kind of celery. Until I knew what it was, it tasted great. Then they told me, and here I am at St. Mungo's. But that's the point--St. Mungo's is the place to try new things, throw caution to the winds. Bring on the tripe, I say. You can even super-size it. Oh, wait, McD's says they're going to eliminate that option now. Oh no--my fries are shrinking....

Anyway, who's the menu consultant here? And what's the rule about having butterbeer at our parties? Send some of those monkeys out to Hogsmeade to stock up. Where's that Visa card?

Shhh. Quiet now. I've got a secret. *looks around to make sure no one strange is listening, no extendable ears lolling about* Guess who had this room before me? Ooooh, it's so creepy. Creepy but amazing. Well, I was rummaging in the spacious closet (such an asset, I tell you) for my very wildest PJs and I found some stuff. Listen to this...I found four pink hairbands. Yes, and then...shhh...don't giggle so much...then I found this pile of ceramic plates with these disgusting kittens painted on them. Oh, Gawd, then I noticed this really tacky lilac lacy-knit cardigan. Looked like it would fit a round, squat ottoman. And then...shush...I found this letter. It was to "my sweet little Dodo," from "your adoring Fudgie." Real mush stuff about how it'll all be over soon, no one understands you like I do, think of St. Mungo's as a well-deserved rest from those horrid children. Ooooh, it was sooo interesting. I'm gonna save this piece of parchment for sure. But--best of all...I found Dodo's American Express card!! Woo hoo! The party's on her!

I'm off to dig through that spacious closet yet again. It's better than Gringotts for treasure.

I have a 2-day Potions Conference to attend. I expect you all to behave while I'm gone! The freezer is full of food. I'm putting Gina in charge of meals. Just look in the freezer and you'll find some oatmeal & toast for breakfast, fish sticks with mashed potatoes for lunch and quail and buffalo pot pies for dinner. Don't pig out or you'll run out of food!!

Well, Ticker, I seem to have several large lacerations forming an elliptical wound on my right lateral neck near my right carotid and jugular vessels. The wound has a 1 cm eccymotic border circumvented by a 3 cm erythematous border with induration. There is no purulence, only a scant amount of serosanguinous drainage, and a slight amount of inflammation. Hopefully the edema to that area will continue to reduce and healing will continue without incident. And I am having an outrageously unusual craving for bananas, otherwise I think it's on the mend. Thanks for asking! Oh, yeah, don't forget Can you dig it?

Geez, Istari! I dig the wound description. Well, I suppose the injury is recent enough for the serosanguinous, non-purulent drainage to be normal, and as long as you're sure those ecchimoses are not hematomas... I'd watch that erethematous border with induration though, especially given the connection to 2 major blood vessels to & from your brain. Your banana cravings, while disturbing, should improve at least through the equinox which will be the next new moon. After that, only time will tell.

I am a little concerned with how you are repeating yourself though. An interesting side effect I don't think anyone anticipated.

I'd recommend a CBC with differential, type & screen and carotid ultrasound prn, and definitely get a 1st generation cephalosporin on board. Any drug allergies? Er,... wait a minute... I don't work here... well, never mind.

I finally got the paint! Yes!

But what to paint. *sits down with head in hands*

I know! Pyro... can I borrow Squirt? I'm not gonna hurt him. I'm going to use him as a model.

* starts doing the base coat* You know this stuff dries in two seconds. *starts the mural* La la la la la. Painting... Voldemort...nah... I know I'll have Squirt fighting a dragon (that is if Pyro borrows him to me)! I'm starting the dragon.

Long talons and teeth...

Oh, and while I'm in here I might as well tell you about my room. Well I have a bunk bed, and the bed is covered with a black and gray pattern and it has Chinese dragons printed on it. The room was originally pink but now three are red and the other is a black wall that has the beginnings of the mural on it. There isn't much else, all the usual bedroom stuff, but I have one corner occupied with a full-size actual-bone skeleton.

My bathroom consists of a shower, a sink, and the most luxurious toilet. It flushes!

Alright, everyone. Time for manicures and pedicures. Line up please, and no pushing. You'll all have a turn. This group of semi-professional nail technicians (honest, that's what they're called now) that I found wandering aimlessly in the occupational therapy wing has promised to finish at least six fingers and two toes on each guest here. Please, no tipping. They're just so happy to have extremities to experiment, I mean, practice on.

*looks sharply around at group of gum-chewing, hopeful looking people when one dissolves in high-pitched excited giggles*

The party room looks fabulous, guys! Somebody's spent a lot of Dodo's money of wonderful decorations.

Oh, just think your pizza toppings and--voila! there they are.

Blast, you look a little peak-y. Have some pizza, then get in line for your manicure. I see you with sort of a charred finger motif. Or toes, you can just do your toes. Don't worry, eat pizza.

The Pizza Man has moved out of my room. He snores, but says I do. Well! And, he hogged all of my down pillows of varying density.

Boy, we were a bit rusty - glad we booked the practice time.

That volcano sure looks hot anybody got any marshmallows? Oh no - I dropped the whole bag in by mistake! Wait a second - they weren't real marshmallows, they were some sort of enchanted candy from 93 Diagon alley. I think that maybe we better clear out for a bit to make sure that nothing blows up.

Whew, I was able to save my Shamrock PJ's. Along with the Green Snape beverage there is green butterbeer. There is also green mashed potatoes - well I hope they were dyed green and not the other alternative.

Newt, I went to France in October and had my portkey pick-pocketed. I couldn't get a portkey for three days (had to extend my trip by two days).

I would love to visit New Zealand someday (And I promise to keep a tighter grip on my portkey from now on!) I can't imagine a Warg on a broomstick though.

Orcs and Trolls, sounds like we would be playing the Slythrin's!

I've got the duck, I've been using it as a bed... just keep it away from Ron, cause he's terrified of it.

Hey- I got some of that Green Snape dripped on me, and I sprouted wings and can breath fire... but that's all that changed! No dragon transformation! Is there a cure? The breathing fire this is kinda cool.

BTW Prof. Sprout, do you have anything for the blues? I'm suffering through an intense case of guilt brought on by bringing grief upon my fan fic's characters in large doses... sigh.

News just in the Kooky Kiwi's (New Zealand’s answer to the Maniacs) have agreed to a match of bedpan Quidditch.... bad news is their keeper is an Orc, they might have a hobbit playing as seeker however... Pyro, shouldn't pose a problem then. Beaters are a dwarf & an elf.... the elf hits like a four year old.... so again, no worries there. No idea who their chasers are, but their Cheerleaders are very woolly & their chant sounds a bit like "Baaaaa".

Istari, watch where you're putting those flames... *ducks to avoid a fireball* oops, my mistake it was Amy.... Hmmm, wonder should we put a warning on the Snape beverages .... "Caution: when consumed drinker may experience a 'mild' case of Dragonitis" Oh & Sabby, Prof Sprout has some great 'calm me down' potion.... it Rocks! (dude)

The duck is out in the lobby, awaiting further instructions. I painted it a lovely shade of blue, to blend in with sky or water. And to disguise it in case Mad-Eye shows up looking for it. Those of you with wands can decide if we're going to float or fly. Just be sure to bring appropriate clothing, as I believe they are approaching the end of summer there? I always get so confused about that.

BTW - I'm still sporting a set of grey wings and am occasionally spitting fire. Will this go away on it's own?

I don't know, Amy. I am still in full-fledged dragon mode, and I find I'm getting pretty chilled when I leave my lava. I know that's not right, because most dragons don't even get near lava. The S'mores are tasty, but the stick I toast them on incinerates to ash too quickly.

Don't get too close, Viola. I know you play some really "hot" music, but there's no sense catching your bagpipes on fire.

I believe in was Ticker’s that I transfigured into a penny whistle. You will want it transfigured into something that no one else would want to pick up and use. (Like who else in their right mind would ever want to pick up a viola bow. I think it was rather brilliant myself)

Amy, Are you sure your compass isn't bewitched to find the rubber ducky, so since we are on the Rubber Duck? It would just spin around. I mean, it couldn't be my driving that is sending it bonkers! Maybe next time we can take the giant butterfly! Besides aren't butterflies migrating in the opposite direction from which we are traveling right now?

As for my wand.... it looks like a 2b pencil... stuck in my hair. I told the staff that I have a fear of scrunchies, so I use my pencil to tie my hair up instead... they were fine about it... so long as I don't sharpen it. *clears throat and declaims* 2b or not 2b, that is the question...

This rubber duckie is great.... lets hope there are no pretty birds up at this height... or Viola might follow them....

Hermy, quick recap on LOTRs for you... pretty green hills with little houses built into them for the hobbits. Huge mountain ranges with snow-capped peaks.... green as far as the eye can see (bit like Ireland) Loads of impressive scenery, lakes, hills & mountains... & it's all so beautiful, (hope that helped) So now you know we are going to a beautiful country, you can help me with the cheers!

Viola, I can give you some flower scent to attract butterflies. (And if you don't tell the staff who did it, I can even make flowers grow on some of your clothing)

Be careful of those Kookie Kiwi's, they can be tricky. I heard bad things about their ward. (They employ trolls to guard the ward to make sure residents aren't roaming the halls)

I'm glad you guys are flying this time, because last time a few of you got seasick.

Viola, I think I'd like my wand to be a piccolo, since that's a miniature version of the flute, which I play. No one in their right mind (not that most of us fit that description) would want to use a piccolo, I swear it's almost impossible to get a noise out of, let alone music.

I really liked the flying ducky... until I got air sick. Sick! And then added to the fact that in my other life I have a cold. Well, not the worst thing to ever happen.

And yes Liz, I know what you mean, the way people treated each other on this forum was the reason why I decided to sign in after a few weeks of just reading.

We can't be the only nice forum, but I know there are a lot of forums were insulting people is normal. Last year I was following some sports that aren't common to my homecountry, just for the fun of it. If you do that, the internet is the only option to remain updated. I read a lot of official sites, but the most info you get from the fan discussion forums... and they scared me to death! The way people insult each other "you can't be a true fan if you don't know the rules.." (Well, poor little me for example didn't even know the way to keep count of points in some cases, let alone the rules) "You aren't a true fan if you are hopping on the bandwagon".

And those were the fans rooting for the same team! Don't even want to know what they say about the competition.

I never felt the urge to post or introduce myself, I always just left and let them have their petty problems to themselves.

Luckily we have such a healthy atmosphere here in St. Mungo's!

Marè You can't be a team player if ... Just kidding. I think some people are not happy if they are not complaining or competing with each other. On some forums (not this one of course) everyone wants to be the most extreme. I went to college with a guy that no matter what kind of true story you would tell him, he would have to top it with either himself as the person who did it or a close friend or family member. Drove me nuts.

You can stay in the ward, but if Poppy is not here, I shudder to think who the chaperone will be. Those strange characters that Barb let in have been talking to the board to see if they can get hired here. Just a warning

Ooh yes, I love your picture, Liz! And I was on the American Idol website (go Jon Peter Lewis!) and they have a forum, so I went to go see if it was anywhere near as good as this one, and everyone was cussing and insulting the American Idols and arguing really bad. I left immediately and came here.

Also today in ELP (the gifted and talented program), we were in the computer lab researching philosophers and philosophy (it is so confusing), and every time the teacher was out of sight I would pop onto the forum. Of course there wasn't time to log in or anything.

This post should have been on the YKYAHPFW thread, shouldn't it have been?

Don't worry Amy, I have a few tricks up my sleeve to keep the butterflies from the meadow during the match. I charmed all of the flowers on the field to be "sleeping" during the match and I planted some temporary flowers over on the other side of the hill, and they will be in full bloom until the match is over.

After the match Viola, I'll get the flower scent on your clothes. Just don't tell anyone in an authority position who you got it from.

Viola, Just sprinkle this powdery stuff on your clothes. (It doesn't work too well on Wool though) It might smell bad for about 15 minutes but then it will smell like flowers, and some will grow. You'll be a butterfly magnet in no time. Remember you got it in NZ from someone, you didn't get it from me.

Yeah, I haven't quite figured out how to get rid of the bouncing, but it would have been great while you were a cheerleader. That is why is hasn't been marketed yet to the students. Filch would kill me, if students were bouncing off the walls.

Just a warning: I don't know about Canada, but I know that we still have some snow on the ground here in Wisconsin. It's doing that snow/sleet/rain thing even as I speak. One word- layers! Ticker 'hem hem' how could anyone forget the Cheerleading squad.... we are a very valuable part of the team you know (syeah right, but I keep telling myself that) I'm available to be a sub if need be, but seeing as I'd be benched most of the season I'll continue to wave the 'ol pom poms on the side lines... unless I'm needed

Hagrid is a very enthuiastic cheerer... 'tis a pity we can't get a costume to fit. Had a bit of a problem during the last game however... he mistook two of the sheep for pom poms.... not pretty! It's just a shame he can't spell Maniacs....

Viola, that's so great! Spearfish is really getting some classy new shops & restaurants. I usually visit the canyon in the fall for the colors & in the winter for the ice-climbs - not last year though. If granny gets dull, let me know. I'd love to show you the sights.

Bit of trivia: Spearfish Canyon holds the world record for quickest Temperature change. You shouldn't have to worry about it this summer. I guess it shattered windows, trees,... It sounds a bit like magic to me. You might check on the porcupine situation though. There's been trouble with them chewing through brake lines - not so good coming back down the canyon. Maybe there is some dark magic up that canyon after all...

At about 7:30am MST, the temperature in Spearfish was -4 degrees Fahrenheit. The chinook kicked in, and two minutes later the temperature was 45 degrees above zero. The 49 degree rise in two minutes set a world record that is still on the books. By 9:00am, the temperature had risen to 54 degrees. Suddenly, the chinook died down and the temperature tumbled back to -4 degrees. The 58 degree drop took only 27 minutes.

I was wondering about those earthquakes however .... but you're right.... they coincided with Hagrid’s jumps... Perhaps Hagrid will have to find another way of getting to Canada, I can't quite see the duck taking all that extra weight

As for removing the hairs from Hagrid’s legs, Ticker,.... now that really would be deforestation!

FINALLY!!! I read about forty something posts yesterday, had three left to go and then my computer slowed down so much I couldn't be bothered to wait. Today I read twenty something. So now I finally get to say...

I laughed so much during the Quidditch match! Just can't remember why now.

Anyway, Canada, here we come! Back on board the rubber duckie, everyone. But Viola's not driving. With that aroma she'll attract every butterfly within a hundred yards and we'll end up at the South pole.

I hate to bring you this bad news, but Severus had a little accident today. He was involved in a nasty bit of experimental magic. Well, after he arrived they sent an owl out to summon his wife, and guess what happened. Both of them showed up, and neither of them knew about the other. Well after a bit of a cat fight, they both turned their attentions to the Potion Master. It got pretty ugly for a while. I thought Hagrid looked bad after dealing with Grawp, but I have never seen anything like Snape does. They have told him not to expect the swelling to do down in the near future. He even makes Madeye look like Mel Gibson.

She tore this guy to shreds without breaking a sweat and I hope I never have to see anything like that again! He was right in front of her in a department store in New York one time and wouldn't move. Man, by the time she was done with him there was an arm in Lingerie, a foot in Housewares, and his head was propped up on the top shelf in the Shoe Department. She's sumthin' when she's riled, Gina. Must be the French in her.

Well, OK, it was a big stand-up poster of Buzz Lightyear, and she did have too many of those Dragonberry Snape beverages she loves so well, but I must say her Tae Bo moves were very impressive! And that Buzz Lightyear Stand-up Poster will never bother her again!

Oh, have you heard? They've scrapped the GOF movie. Something about the script not suiting JKR.

I found an old float from the Santa Claus Parade, maybe we could take that to the next matches. It is a scene from Dicken's A Christmas Carol. It actually looks a bit like Diagon Alley. There is lots of room, and has a control room hidden in the front. Gina it is great to see you, and the way you handled that hussy, pure class. Phineas would be proud. By the way, Snape Beverages are quite popular in Canada, they are giving the giant breweries quite a run for their money.

Whew! I made it in time for the Canadian match, eh? I missed the duckie ride to NZ, so I just swam over. When I got there, there was nothing but a few crisps of burned wool and some very nasty, angry-looking orcthingamabobbers. My arms were a little tired, but I about faced in the water and took off for Canada. I'm so glad I didn't have to swim all the way - a giant eagle found me and just deposited me here with the rest of you guys. Don't forget to adjust your speedometers on your broomsticks. Canadians use kilometers. I'm a little more familiar with Canadian culture on the eastern side (New Brunswick), but surely things aren't too different out here in the west. Ooh - and you all have to try Canadian chocolate!

Dobby, You have come back just in time for Quidditch season! And as you can tell, we had to relocate to a new thread. You've missed out on a lot of cool traveling! We took the jello submarine to Aruba for a quidditch match. But the Slytherins ate our sub. We turned a float into a portkey and went to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. Then we rode a giant rubber duckie to Hawaii for a quidditch match over a volcano. But we had to postpone the game because we had to make an emergency trip make to St. Mungo's for the Move (to the new thread) and we missed our three-hour tour on a boat called the Minnow. So the Hawaiian team came to St. Mungo's for the match. Someone set up a volcano here for us. A few of the players drank a special new Snape beverage and turned into dragons. We just finished a match in New Zealand. Pyro wanted to drive, but she hit the auto destruct button on the rubber duck, so we don't have it anymore. Now we are headed to Canada for our next match. Did I leave anything out?

Pyro, you will have to get Brother Bear on DVD, Rutt and Tuke have a running commentary that is worth viewing at least once. (But I recommend watching the movie first)

I don't remember LJ, but I've heard about him. Actually, that reminds me. I was up in the hospital's tea room yesterday, when I noticed a trap door in the ceiling. Curiosity got the better of me and I fed all the tea room staff canary creams, then while they couldn't stop me, hopped on my bedpan, kicked open the trap door and went through it. I didn't know St Mungo's had an attic. Anyway, I left again in a bit of a hurry because there was something moving up there! It was either a ghoul or... something else... something purple... (hint hint, nudge nudge).

Pyro that wasn't a werewolf, or a purple sloth . . . that was a baby man-eating plant. You are lucky it was just a young one. You could have lost your whole arm. They started putting those there to keep people out of dangerous wards. They figure guards have been getting distracted lately.

I can tell you one way to heal it but you might not like it so I'll leave it your choice. You have to put Lime Jello on it, and bandage it up. I don't know if the Lime Jello will seep into your skin and cause the same effect as if you eat it or not. Just depends on how deep the bite is. Let me know if that is the measure you would like to take. Poppy might have a different idea though.

Pyro's arm will be okay without the poison sucked out, but will it have time to heal in time for the game if the poison is not sucked out? Where's Lockhart when you need him.
