Thanks for your response, Verity. Either the twins need rescuing, or they get out of their predicament through sheer pluck!
Love your new avatar, such a beaming smile! Ahhh... the joy a little kid feels being on a swing.

a loud crack behind them
Let's see, what could be responsible for making the noise? We know there are centaurs, unicorns and thestrals in the forest. Also Aragog and his family, although you'd think the twins might have mentioned something to Ron about there being giant spiders in the forest if they'd seen one. There's probably also nifflers, bowtruckles and goodness knows what else!

Maybe they meet something friendly first? Or receive a warning from a centaur? Which, they, being them, do not heed?

Hi, Verity! I'm slogging through some more riddles. I want to repost 100 today. Then I'm taking a break and doing some Five Words stuff... at last! I need a break from the ponderous riddle-explanation posts!

Thanks, Mona. I have not posted any yet today. Am at my sister's, with my niece and nephew, and we've been alternating between playing different games on X-box 360 Kinect, and working on a 1,000 piece 'Where's Waldo' puzzle, Both are infinitely more fun than reformatting riddles. They have a birthday party to go to soon, so I'll have no excuses when they're gone.

How do you like the Kinect PAH? The technology looks pretty amazing. My boys are big Xbox fans, but we don't have a Kinect yet.

Love Kinect! it's a fun way to get a workout without even realizing it, b/c it's just so much fun. In the games we played, there's a fair bit of jumping involved, so not the best thing for an apartment-dweller like me. I don't think my downstairs neighbors would appreciate my game-playing that much.

It's been a bit quiet on here. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm struggling a bit to think of what kind of mischief the twins could get up to. Perhaps if we brainstorm a few ideas, that might help to give us a bit more impetus. So any ideas?
I'm thinking Firenze could be impressed by their pluck, and might direct them to somewhere within the forest where they will encounter some mischievious but ultimately harmless inhabitants. Maybe there's a Pixie enclave in there somewhere. Or maybe the twins are wearing something glittery and he directs them to a nest of Nifflers. I really don't know, I'm just trying to throw out some random ideas. Hopefully it will inspire someone else to think of something better!

I almost wrote a centaur , so they could say that now that they had, they could go back to the castle, (then get up to some mischief there),'cause, I'm with you Verity... not sure what sort of adventure they could get up to. Hope other Five Worders come up with some sudden inspiration, hopefully by page 50 (out of 67) of this thread.
"entered the threshold of magical education" I like that! Very centaur-ish!

AS for story ideas, I haven't had those in a long time. Dunno what happened. Hope I get my inspiration back, sometime!
