final push off the trunk,
I like that idea, Verity!
final push off the trunk,
- Spoiler:
- From what's been written, the picture I got was that Fred was hanging from a low limb, so I imagined he'd push off the trunk with his feet, land on the ground, and grab onto a low bush to stay grounded. Then, as BB suggested earlier: Maybe one of the twins could get knocked down by other thestrals trying to get some of the spoils? That might spook them a bit.
I like that idea, Verity!

He's trying to grab on to something to keep himself at ground level.
Yes, I also like BB's idea.

Don't you mean 'Friends'? Still makes me chuckle, Fred coming up with that version of Firenze's name. And if that Seer of a Centaur is skilled enough to teach at Hogwarts, he is more than qualified to write for The Daily Prophet. Great idea, Verity. And no probs. re: the pic.Verity Weasley wrote:Perhaps we could have another guest astrologer - how about Firenze?

I'm going to assume that Fred is speaking that line, "That was too close..." so will add a " in front of That in the previous post. We're off to an exciting finish! Just over 200 words to go!
And... um... I just remembered one more Five Words housekeeping thingy... just a little thing... to type in "Story #136" in the post title? Thanks!

I think the posts count got off about two or three posts back....???

Oops! well caught, Choices! That was my mistake... I'm multitasking, and trying to repost riddles in the Archives thread while sending emails. Bad move.
Forgive me for posting in your post, but the above is what is called a NON-POST, a post with no bolded story words. In the interest of saving posts, which are precious in this thread since we don't want posts to run out in the middle of a story, we try not to post non-posts, and include five bolded story words in every post, to get that most 'bang' out of a post, if you know what I mean.
So... I will post five words here so that we don't have another non-post.
PAH's words...

EDIT: So, Choices... if you see this message, go on and post five words to follow the ones I posted here, and then we're back on track!

Although there were two sets of five words in the previous post, I've only counted it as one post since technically it's posts we're counting, not sets of five words.

Right you are, Verity! So instead of 15 sets of 5 words on this page, we'll have 16, for a bit of variety. Now, what's George going to say? I'm thinking it's got to be George, since Fred just spoke, and then a new paragraph was started, which makes me think there's been a change in speaker.

Presumably, the tree was DD's handiwork, intended to scare out of the forest earlier.
Who knew counting could be so complicated! We had two 41s, so I skipped 40.

A short description maybe? If I remember correctly their original purpose was to find out what was so dangerous about the forest. Perhaps they see the forest in a different light now.

darker, with rain clouds approaching.
Mona, no worries... I did the same thing here, not too long ago.
As we approach the end, while the boys are hightailing it back to the castle maybe we can have DD make an appearance after all, with him and Firenze stepping out of the shadows to have a brief chat, sharing a chuckle or two?
EDIT: WOW, Mona! Snape Vol. VI! You've covered so much ground. And then it's just the indices to do... have you been keeping track of the post #s as you post threads in a Word doc as Elanor suggested? That's what I do for the riddles, and then post my index in sets of 50 when one I complete a batch; less edit s show up at the bottom of a post that way.

PAH I've still got to repost Vol. 7 (and delete the one I've already posted). Vol, 8 doesn't really count as it's got very few posts. I haven't even formatted these last two.
BTW, there are three of your rare posts on the Snape thread here, and very good posts they are, too!

Nope! Disorganised people like me don't do things like that. I'll have to go back and collect all the post titles and URLs when I'm done with the reposting. There are already 297 posts in the Snape thread alone - the indices are going to be fun!And then it's just the indices to do... have you been keeping track of the post #s as you post threads in a Word doc as Elanor suggested?
