EDIT: By conservative estimates, it looks like we'll have from 200 to 300 posts left in this thread after the current story finishes. Rather than close the thread early and waste the posts on here, I thought we could try writing something short, like the horoscope section we wrote in The Daily Prophet some months ago. They were very fun and silly and short, making them a perfect candidate for a short Five Words 'story'. For those who didn't participate in that story or get to read the horoscope, click the spoiler box. So... what do folks think? (Including the date and byline, the following was 219 words.)

Don't you mean 'Friends'? Still makes me chuckle, Fred coming up with that version of Firenze's name. And if that Seer of a Centaur is skilled enough to teach at Hogwarts, he is more than qualified to write for The Daily Prophet. Great idea, Verity. And no probs. re: the pic.

Oops! well caught, Choices! That was my mistake... I'm multitasking, and trying to repost riddles in the Archives thread while sending emails. Bad move.

Forgive me for posting in your post, but the above is what is called a NON-POST, a post with no bolded story words. In the interest of saving posts, which are precious in this thread since we don't want posts to run out in the middle of a story, we try not to post non-posts, and include five bolded story words in every post, to get that most 'bang' out of a post, if you know what I mean.

So... I will post five words here so that we don't have another non-post.

As we approach the end, while the boys are hightailing it back to the castle maybe we can have DD make an appearance after all, with him and Firenze stepping out of the shadows to have a brief chat, sharing a chuckle or two?

EDIT: WOW, Mona! Snape Vol. VI! You've covered so much ground. And then it's just the indices to do... have you been keeping track of the post #s as you post threads in a Word doc as Elanor suggested? That's what I do for the riddles, and then post my index in sets of 50 when one I complete a batch; less edit s show up at the bottom of a post that way.

PAH I've still got to repost Vol. 7 (and delete the one I've already posted). Vol, 8 doesn't really count as it's got very few posts. I haven't even formatted these last two.

Nope! Disorganised people like me don't do things like that. I'll have to go back and collect all the post titles and URLs when I'm done with the reposting. There are already 297 posts in the Snape thread alone - the indices are going to be fun!
