- Spoiler:
- I'm imagining she just dismisses Dolly by default, pointedly ignoring her as she returns to the exam papers. Then as Dolly flounces out of the room in a huff, she can bump into Ron, who can tell her about Peeves smashing up the Transfiguration department, and voila! We're at the end!

as if he were looking
Hi, Verity. The first day of school for students here in NYC public schools is Thursday, September 6th. I went into my school for just a few hours last week to have a look at my room, make note of supplies needed, attend some meetings, etc. But I'm really making a push this week to get my room set-up. With my welcome back letter to the students I mailed out last week, included in the supply list (which usually has 3 categories of supplies: individual, communal, optional), I included this section at the end:
I wonder what the kids and their parents thought of it, if anything. I'll find out next week.
Now that this story is winding down, I need to get ready to post it. I've updated my Word doc and tallied the posts. But I need help with a title, as I have no idea for one. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Verity, you currently have the most posts, with 73, followed by Julia with 48. Mona and I are tied with 21. So Verity, it looks like you'll be starting the next story, which could start as early as this weekend, depending on how long it takes this story to wrap-up.

Key: no italics = narrative / italics = students' writing / gray *(no italics) = Griselda's inner monolgue |

Hee Hee! That's so cool that you included that in your welcome letter PAH. I wonder what the reactions will be.
I'll have to think about the title, PAH. It's not really my forte. Also, I don't want to hog the story-starts, so perhaps Julia would like to start the next one. Julia?

in the Transfiguration Department. Peeves
Thanks, Verity, for the offer! I've actually got a story idea, so if it's OK with everyone, I would start the next story with pleasure.
LOL, PAH, at the supply list!
As for title suggestions... the choice of the title may also depend on whether we want to finish the story by returning to Griselda or with Umbridge going away with Ron - and then I wonder how far we'll see her go. In the latter case, the title may perhaps suggest the momentary calm before the storm. If we finish the story with Griselda, the title could perhaps refer to her more directly. Hm... that wasn't much help, probably.

I think we should end the story with Umbridge and Ron, but I don't think we need to follow them very far at all. We really just need to get Dolly's reaction.

and calling out behind her, Yep, I'm stalling. Sorry.
I thought of a title, 'Cross Examinations'. It might not be the best, but it's the best I could come up with.
EDIT: Changed my post. See note here for an explanation.
