I just got home from having my car worked on. My wallet is $685 poorer. I needed all of those things done, but they sure did cause me grief in the process. It's about a half hour drive (in traffic) out to Gasoline Alley, and Mom took me, because the lady on the phone said my car was ready. (This was at 4:50 p.m., 90 minutes AFTER she said it would be ready.) I'd already gone back after taking Mom to lunch and wasting time in town, because I was told my car would be ready by 12:45 ... and it wasn't. Anyway, I finally got home around 6:30 p.m., after waiting since 5 p.m. (less traffic, so I guess I should be grateful). No ... it was NOT ready on time. They gave me a 10% discount on the total and a bad car wash ... but sheesh! I wish she had just told me this morning that it would take all day! My ankle looks like a cantaloupe after all of the walking and "trolling around" I've done. Oh, well ...
