Really? It's the first thing that popped into my head when I saw the preceding 'Not'. I'm not really keeping up with the story, mind. That may also have something to do with it.

I'm just trying to understand the previous suggestions for the story: so Donna was meant to be asking Horace for the love potion to slip it to someone she fancied, so that young man would fall in love with her? But she was then going to take a shine to Horace instead, thanks to the Felix Felicis he had that morning, making him feel lucky and confident, and presumably being very charming as a result, thereby making it easy for Donna to become interested in Horace instead? Or have I got it wrong completely?

'appreciation' a nice vague word; could be followed by anything specific, really. I just didn't know what that was.

I guess I was not sold on the idea that Horace would be romantically interested in someone who was in search of a love potion to have someone else fall in love with them. Good thing Daphne's around, a younger sister in need of the older and wiser sister's help. A helpful older sister... what an admirable thing to be. No wonder Horace pours on the charm and then Donna finds ol' Sluggy irresistible!
