71 posts in 8 days? about 8 to 9 posts a day? Dunno, we have averaged less than that most days, what with our different time zones and schedules. If we had a spree, that would help. But I wondered about that before and got no response, so we'll just see how it goes.

I wasn't thinking there would be a spree, as we haven't had a real spree in ages. On that note, I was thinking, after reading those 50 word stories that Verity posted written by students from her school, maybe we should try to write a short 40 or 50 post story, with 200 or 250 words. It would take less time to write a story, rather than almost 2 months or more, and be a good exercise in being concise and getting to the point sooner. Any thoughts?

Participating in a spree these days sounds unrealistic for me, too, but I like the idea of 200-250-word stories. Though I personally don't mind it when we take two months to write a story, these shorter stories could be an interesting change from the usual. We could try out a different way of writing a story from a technical viewpoint. Of course, if such a story is written too quickly, I may miss it altogether if I happen to be busy at the wrong time; but I'm really interested in the idea.

I may be in the minority, but I liked it when our stories were written in 2 to 3 weeks. I liked the faster pace, as it was easier to keep track of what we had written before.

Since the idea of a very short story seems to be one that people wouldn't mind trying, like the '6 words/only 6 characters' idea we tried for the 6th anniversary story, we should go ahead and do that for Story #145.

Yes, there is that whole being 'a little forward' thing, too. But being more practically-minded, I was thinking about making sure the cake was included in the timeline. This is the 1920's/1930's era, right? Or a little later? Or earlier? When single young ladies didn't spend time in their homes in a young man's company without a chaperone? Or am I being too old-fashioned? Or is that just Muggle thinking? So, maybe just some sherry to toast the occasion?

EDIT: Well, would you look at that, Verity? 10 posts today in the span of a few hours, and 9 of them are yours and mine! We had a bit of a spree after all! Maybe we can finish before March 14th, which just so happens to be Pi (∏) day!

That's true (LOL), but as far as we know the witches of the Black family don't necessarily have scruples of any sort.
