I like the name of the cake, Verity. Let's hope Horace likes it, too.

Well it might seem a little forward to go straight to her house. This is still their first 'date' after all!

also remember how fond you
Yes, there is that whole being 'a little forward' thing, too. But being more practically-minded, I was thinking about making sure the cake was included in the timeline. This is the 1920's/1930's era, right? Or a little later? Or earlier? When single young ladies didn't spend time in their homes in a young man's company without a chaperone? Or am I being too old-fashioned? Or is that just Muggle thinking? So, maybe just some sherry to toast the occasion?
EDIT: Well, would you look at that, Verity? 10 posts today in the span of a few hours, and 9 of them are yours and mine! We had a bit of a spree after all! Maybe we can finish before March 14th, which just so happens to be Pi (∏) day!

LOL, didn't Horace think Donna had never noticed him at school? She seems to remember a lot about him!
That's true (LOL), but as far as we know the witches of the Black family don't necessarily have scruples of any sort.
As for this being their first date: Unfortunately we don't know whether the relationship will last longer than the effect of the Felix Felicis...

That's so like a teenage girl to notice a boy, but then to act like he doesn't exist. And as this is another branch of the Black family, perhaps they are more scrupulous than the gnarled and in-bred one.Julia H. wrote:LOL, didn't Horace think Donna had never noticed him at school? It could be a teashop /cake shop so they could stay there and not go to Donna's house at all.

, and a slice of Pineapple
I got the impression that the cake decorated with pineapple was another cake, besides the Marzipan one, so as it's Sluggy's birthday, Donna's treating him to a slice of that, too.
A 'piece of cake' is absolutely fine and is interchangeable with 'slice'. Also, the name of the cake is Magical Marzipan Mound so I'm changing 'Mould' to 'Mound'.

I agree, staying out in public would be better. And, sure thing, Verity!Verity Weasley wrote:It could be a teashop /cake shop so they could stay there and not go to Donna's house at all.
