It's been fun doing nothing for the past few days. Was unexpectedly able to go away on Saturday for the long weekend to stay with some family friends. Popped in to check what was going on here, but never long enough to post anything. Okay, need to get some errands done! Story's going well... love the time stamps, especially!

I SPOT A GNOME AMONG
- Spoiler:
- I was just thinking that perhaps Crooksy could have a near miss with 'the beast' or cause Ron to have to swerve or something, by chasing gnomes across the path of it. Just an idea.

I think "the creature" and "beast" should refer to the car. Gnome should be gnome, just to avoid confusion.

THE POND, RON LEANS AGAINST
1700: I SPOT A GNOME AMONG THE ROSE BUSHES, AND POUNCE. I MISSTHE CREATURE THE GNOME BY MERE INCHES AS I CHASE IT FRANTICALLY AROUND THE POND. HERMIONE SCREAMS AS THE CREATURE SUDDENLY CHANGES DIRECTION TO AVOID COLLIDING WITH ME.

Just so I get it straight re: creature/beast vs. gnome: as written, Crooksy sees the gnome in the rose bushes, pounces, but misses the creature by mere inches (i.e. he misses the car, which seems to be near the rose bushes, and not the gnome?) and Crooksy chases the gnome some around the pond. Then the creature/car swerves to avoid Crooksy (who's moved on to the side of the pond?). Ron gets out of the car and doesn't realize he's close to the pond. Dunno, I still think the creature should be changed to the gnome for clarity, even if this is Five Words.
Okay, I guess the rear end of the car goes in a bit, if Ron leans against it, or something. The pond can't be that deep, surely, for the car to be submerged?
