FORWARD.
1517: RON'S FATHER IS POINTING
Is it right to assume that Ron's not home at the moment? As the car's a surprise? And if so, I wonder if Crooksy makes a note of his absence?
This bit of the log started at 1515. Just thought I'd mention it, since time will pass.
Added '1517:' to make up for the 'a' repeated in this post.

CHEERS AND ASKS RON'S FATHER
Sooo... any thoughts on Ron being home or not?
And time's still a tickin'...it can't be 1515 forever, can it?

IF HE BROUGHT TURTLE WAX.
Do they have that in England?
I think Ron is out.
I suspect the cat will disappear when the car is washed, as they generally don't enjoying spraying water.

I Googled it. Apparently, they do, 50 years' worth of using the products, sold in 60 countries.Puck wrote:(Re: Turtle Wax) Do they have that in England?

AUTOMOTUM POLIRERUM.
1520: THE BEAST
Sorry about missing out 'beast' or some other suitable noun from my earlier post. I don't know how that happened!
To be honest, I was hoping someone else would post after Julia because I'm not very good at coming up with incantations, but maybe everyone else was thinking the same thing, so I took the plunge. Polire is Latin meaning 'to polish' but if anyone has a better incantation I don't mind changing it.

IS GLEAMING IN THE SUNSHINE.
Thanks, Verity! I am one who avoided posting for lack of a spell idea. I almost did the cop-out and went with "muttered an incantation", but that felt lame. I like yours. Just perfect.

INSIDE ITS HUGE, GAPING MOUTH
That's how I thought Crooksy would perceive Arthur looking at the engine under the hood/bonnet.
Great incantation, Verity.
I was thinking of posting something like 'some words I'd never heard before', but then had to leave for school to finish packing up my classroom - all done and dusted! - then conked out early once I got home before I could check the threads.
And not one, but two time stamps! Mere posts apart. WOO HOO!

For consistency's sake, changed 'MR WEASLEY' to 'RON'S FATHER', as that is how Crookshanks has referred to him all previous times.
