In reply to your question a few posts back, PAH, I think we should maybe wait a bit and see how this story is shaping up before deciding whether to aim for one 2000 word story or two 1000 word stories. I don't know if we could fit a Fred and George adventure into 1000 words. Or perhaps we could do two mini F&G adventures.
F&G - that looks like a designer clothing label!
- Spoiler:
- as they went up to their dormitory... I'm just conscious of the need to move the story on a bit. We don't want to spend too long on the first night (which we've done a bit in previous stories) and then not have long enough to do justice to their early exploits. Which leads me to...

Thanks for you answer, Verity. I, along with everyone else, had forgotten I'd asked it!
I've always wondered how, exactly, the twins got the Marauders' Map. I'm sure it would've been quite an amusing episode in their lives!
Verity, F&G or F&G?

Back to the riddles. Some of them have sooooo many clues and explanations, for such short riddles, it's mind-boggling! Puck you were quite a riddler, back in the day. Haven't come across yours yet, Verity. I'm still in Autumn 2006!

I would find them smart enough to know that going when they are already outside is easier than if they try to sneak out of the castle after dark.
Thanks, PAH. I used to enjoy the riddles.
I wouldn't buy clothes with that label. The fabric is probably coated with itching powder.
I think I read an explanation once about the boys grabbing it from Filch's cabinet.... Or perhaps it was a dream.

I had a quick look at the archived riddles the other day PAH. You're doing an amazing job (as are all the other archivists). I have to admit that I think riddles with the simplest explanations are the best. Although you might be absolutely stuck trying to work them out, when you find out the answer, you think 'of course!' and need only the simplest explanation to make sense of it. Those ones where you hear the answer and still think, 'what?' are just a bit too complicated for my liking. We had some great riddles over the years - and so many!!!
