Re: Potty Games - Riddles Only (Vol. II)
Sometimes I'm nice....
Sometimes I'm not.
Sometimes I send you running for the chamber pot.
Once, I fooled a famous wizard.....
He has not forgot.
But beginning wizards like me,
sometimes quite a lot.
Can you guess my name?
Good guess, but Moaning Myrtle is not the answer I seek.
Hint: Even though I have a name, I am not a person, but a thing.
Guessed: Gilderoy Lockhart, one of the Weasley Twins, Moaning Myrtle

Thanks, PAH!
The new riddle:
Interested in the arcane?
We have powers hard to explain.
Symbols of a recondite force,
Mysterious we are, of course.
Pleasure at home, useful at work -
Please, refrain from going berserk.
An open mind or a mad mind?
Unconventionally inclined?
We may be just odd and strange -
We can make for a nice change.
We can ignore any spell.
We can make him proud as well.
Who are we?
Enjoy!

Re: Potty Games - Riddles Only (Vol. II)
Thanks, Choices and Verity, for starting the guesses! The answer, however, is neither Mr. Borgin and Mr. Burke, nor the St. Mungo's Healers.
In this post, I've made a slight correction in the riddle.
Keep guessing, please.

Thanks for the guess, Choices, but the answer is not wands. The guess is a (small) step in the right direction though.
Keep guessing, please.

Re: Potty Games - Riddles Only (Vol. II)
Great guesses, Lady Arabella, but the answer is neither the Unspeakables in the Department of Mysteries (although the answer is a rather silent group, too!), nor a Time-Turner.
You have earned a hint! Keep guessing, please.

Magical portraits?
BTW Julia, I meant to say that I enjoyed your explanation of your last riddle, and it wasn't a bad pun at all. It was actually really clever, just too clever for most of us!
And Choices, well done on your first riddle.

Thanks, Verity!
Great new guesses, Lady Arabella and Verity, but the answer is not House Elves or magical portraits.

Re: Potty Games - Riddles Only (Vol. II)
OK, thinking as a witch, could the riddle describe Muggles? All that eckeltricity stuff could be 'powers hard to explain' and many Muggles are definitely odd and strange.
