Potty Game: Five Words (Vol. XVII)

As this story approaches 100 posts (the previous post is #93) I wonder if this one could be a shorter one, and not reach for the 400 post / 2,000 word maximum? I still have to post Story #149, and compile this one. Unless, are there any volunteers to compile the posts in a Word doc which they could send me, and then I could take care of all the formatting? If interested, please make a note of it in your next post. I'll check here tomorrow or the next day.

Sorry for the non-post from before, but I was trying to think of a way to introduce a new character, and couldn't, but needed to post my note about this story's length, so a non-post was born.

Hi Mona. Thanks for offering to compile the posts. I meant for this story. I have the posts for Story #148; I just have to get the formatting done to post it. There is no school tomorrow in observance of the Jewish holiday Yom Kippur, so I plan on getting the other story up tomorrow. Perhaps you could send me this first chunk, with a tally, so I could start a doc for this new story tomorrow as well? Thanks, again!

I doubt if we will need the maximum word count for this story, but we will certainly be introducing new characters soon. We'll have Dumbledore definitely, and maybe Ogg. And Hagrid only just left Clatterbee and Dippet, so I think it's OK for Hagrid to be alone with his thoughts for a little while.

I wonder if the authorities just trust that Hagrid will go away or whether there should be someone - an earlier version of Filch, for example, or the already introduced Clatterbee - whose job is to make sure that he indeed leaves the school. (But he may evade this person by going to the forest.)

I hope that there will be a real dialogue between Hagrid and Dumbledore eventually - but the story needs some tension before that happens. If we don't want to write about Hagrid's thoughts and his solitary wandering in the Forest (though he can meet centaurs and other creatures there, or he may run into Ogg), we can also change the scene and continue with Dumbledore's side of the story until he finds Hagrid - if we want to.
